Bradman Lake Celebrates 10 years of Langley Stewardship
Beccles, 17 October 2017
Bradman Lake, the leading producer of packaging equipment and systems, marks ten years today since it was acquired by British engineering conglomerate, Langley Holdings plc.
The past decade has seen the Bradman Lake group prosper with many industry leading innovations such as; vision guided robotics, product handling, flow wrapping, top and end load cartoning, case packing, tray loading & shrink wrapping.
The group strategy of ‘Integrated Packaging Technology’ machines designed to common engineering standards, which can be delivered as standalone or part of a truly single source turnkey solution, from process to pallet, has provided significant benefits to the end user.
New larger freehold premises were acquired for Bradman Lake’s US operation in Rock Hill, South Carolina and Bristol in the UK, whilst the manufacturing facility and head office in Beccles UK extended and doubled in size. Further regional presence was also established in India and Russia to supplement the global network.
In October 2017, Bradman Lake acquired Ibonhart, a specialized and innovative manufacturer of bread and baked goods bagging, slicing and packaging machinery to complement Bradman Lake’s product offering to the bakery sector.
Although Bradman Lakes' core business remains in the food packaging industry which has flourished over the last ten years, business in other non food sectors such as pharmaceutical and consumer and healthcare have all grown under Langley stewardship.
