New blending & packing facility comes on stream

First customer delivery

Back in March we reported that Reader's multi-million pound investment in state-of-the-art blending and packing machinery at the newly acquired Pinxton facility in Nottinghamshire, was due to come into production this month.

Since March installation work has been progressing largely according to schedule, commissioning of the first of two lines has been carried out with finished product and the first customer delivery was made on 18th May.

The second line is due for commissioning in June. ProductIon will then ramp up during the second half of the year, at full capacity the two lines will be capable of producing over 3000 tons per week. A third line is planned for installation next summer.
