Piller celebrates 10 years of Langley Stewardship

Osterode, 5 January 2015. Piller, the leading producer of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for high-end data centres, this year marks its ten year anniversary since being acquired by British engineering conglomerate, Langley Holdings plc from RWE.

The past decade has seen the Piller Group prosper with industry-leading innovations such as the IP Bus configuration and the DeRUPS® systems, and further innovation of their rotary UPS systems achieving worldwide the best capacity/footprint ratio (kW/m2) with installations in more than 40 countries.

In recent years, regional outposts have been established in China, India, Brazil and Singapore to supplement the global network of subsidiaries. New larger freehold premises were acquired for its UK facility and later this year, Piller’s US operations will move from its current Middletown facility to a larger newly constructed freehold facility in Middletown, New York.

Although Piller’s core business remains in the datacentre, hosting and colocation sectors, the power protection of continuous process applications in numerous industrial sectors has flourished over the last ten years, business in other sectors such as airports, naval and energy have all grown under the Langley stewardship.

Andrew Dyke, Global Managing Director of the Piller Group, said “We pride ourselves on the development of the business over the past ten years despite the recent economic turbulence and will strive to continue to deliver on our clients' expectations in the future.

Our success in the last years is a direct consequence of our highly talented team of people, the quality of our products and the long term support of our shareholder”.
