Piller open new subsidiary in India

The Piller Group GmbH expands global presence by opening a new subsidiary in India this month.

India is an enormous market investing in power protection particularly in datacenters and in the industrial sector. The new Piller India subsidiary will accelerate the company’s growth in this territory offering power solutions to mission critical applications. Piller already has a significant installed based in India with a number of major domestic and international clients; the new subsidiary will provide local sales and service to new and existing projects.

The business unit, based in New Delhi, will be managed by German-born Frank Berner who brings with him a wealth of experience in Piller technology. After completing his degree in electrical engineering in 1988, Mr Berner joined Piller Germany as Project Manager on drive technology; two years later he was responsible for UPS sales to the domestic market, before progressing into international sales in Africa and Asia, with a focus on India.

Global managing Director Andrew Dyke said ”The decision to open an office in India has come about very quickly but will provide an excellent platform for our growth plans in the region and it fits neatly in with our other already established development plans in South America and China.”
