Claudius Peters Celebrates 10 years of Langley Stewardship

Claudius Peters, the German plant machinery specialist, marks ten years this month since it was acquired by British engineering conglomerate, Langley Holdings PLC from Babcock International PLC.

The past decade has seen the Claudius Peters group prosper with industry leading innovations such as the ETA clinker cooler and Fluidcon pneumatic conveying system now installed in more than 40 countries. Further regional outposts were also established in Romania and India to supplement the global network of subsidiaries and new larger freehold premises acquired for its US operation in Dallas, Texas.

Although Claudius Peters’ core business remains in the cement and steel industries which have flourished over the last ten years, business in other sectors such as coal, alumina, gypsum and lime have all grown under Langley stewardship.

Reiner Fruehling, Managing Director of the Claudius Peters group, said “We are a successful and profitable group and despite the recent global downturn we will continue to grow and develop the company so that the next decade is more successful than ever.

“Our success in the last years is a direct consequence of our highly talented team of people, the quality of our products and the long term support of our shareholder”.
